WJEN Plumbing & Heating Ltd is responsible for the personal information described here (the "controller" under UK data protection law).

What we collect
When you book online: your name, phone number, postcode, the service you need and anything you choose to tell us in the message box.
When you call or email: your contact details and what you tell us about the job.
When we do a job: the property address, details of your boiler and appliances, gas safety and service records, and invoice and payment records.
We only ask for what we need to arrange and carry out the work.
How we use it
- To reply and arrange a visit. Our lawful basis is taking steps you asked for before a contract.
- To carry out the work and invoice you. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
- To keep gas safety records and certificates. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To keep accounts and tax records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To remind you when a service or certificate is due. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in looking after your system. Tell us any time and we will stop.
We never sell your details, and we do not send marketing unless you have asked us to.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a job: up to 12 months.
- Job, invoice and gas safety records: 6 years, to meet accounting and tax rules.
After that we delete it securely.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it
- limit or stop how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format
It is free, and we will reply within one month.
Ask about your data
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
